Aquarius is the energy of innovation. It is the spirit of change that turns one's man's voice of dissent into an entire culture's grand-scale rebellion. Having the courage to go against the grain is necessary for inspiring growth and movement, so that over time people, families, cities and nations may evolve. In exact opposition to the outspoken Leo sun, the Aquarian moon sees the bigger picture from a distance and wonders, "What if it were all different?"

We are conditioned to repress our light or dark nature depending on our experience. We cannot be whole without both our shadow and our light. Ironically, we tend to assume that balance means light must rule. This assumption judges that light is better than dark. In fact, light and dark are twins. Equally and critically needed for the vitality of all that is.
